Fostering Great Learners
At St. Michael's, each individual child is our top priority. Their educational experiences - whether in the classroom, out on the playing fields, or on the stage - should always push them to their full potential.
Throughout St. Michael's, students learn in an atmosphere that promotes self-confidence and self-esteem, allowing them to become independent learners and thinkers, well prepared for secondary school.
Curriculum
Nurturing and stimulating, the Cottage is where our youngest students begin to learn about the world around them. From our Preschool to our Kindergarteners, the goal is to prepare our young learners to enter the first grade aware and eager to learn.
The Lower School curriculum then follows a highly effective, four-year-plan that takes eager first-graders in need of teacher support, and transforms them into budding scholars, impatient for the academic demands of Middle School. Though Middle School students experience a departmentalized curriculum, with different teachers for each subject, every effort is made to create inter-disciplinary projects and themes.

St. Michael's Sub-Web.
Homework
Homework is assigned to all students in grades one through eight. Typically, assignments range from fifteen minutes for first-graders to two and a half hours for the eighth-graders. The amount of time spent will vary from student to student.
