How to get there

Here are driving directions to most of the locations where our students participate in extracurricular events. For more details, you may also want to consult with the driving directions from Google Maps.

Barrington Lacrosse Fields

Barrington Middle School
Middle Highway, Barington
Take the Mount Hope Bridge to 114N and travel through Bristol, Warren and Barrington Center. Go past Barrington Town Hall on the right, past the cemetery, down a hill. You'll see a small church on the left, after which you will take the next left. This is Lincoln Avenue, which is not marked (if you come to a white church 200 yards up by a traffic light, you have gone too far). Take a left onto Lincoln Avenue, follow Lincoln for one mile, go through a four-way stop until you come to a set of lights. Turn left at the lights; Barrington Middle School is on the right. Look for the fields.

Cluny School

From St.Michael's take Memorial Blvd. to Bellevue Ave. Turn left onto Bellevue, go down to Ruggles Ave. (approximately one mile), turn right onto Ruggles. Follow Ruggles; when the road forks bear right on Wickham Rd. (Hazard goes left). Pass Rogers High School, take the first left, and then another left, onto Brenton Road. Cluny School will be ahead on your right.

Friends Academy

Take either 138N or 114N to Rte. 24N to 195E; stay on
195E till exit 12 (Faunce's Corner). At the end of the exit ramp, go right. Continue on the road to the intersection of Rte. 6 (the North Dartmouth Mall will be on your right). At the traffic light, take a left onto Rte. 6. Immediately after turning, be prepared to get into the right-hand lane. Follow Rte. 6 to the next intersection where you will turn right onto Tucker Road. Follow Tucker approximately 1 mile. The school will be on your right.

Gordon School

From Fall River: Take either 138N or 114N to Rte. 24N to 195W (toward Providence). Take the first E. Providence exit (Broadway); turn left onto Broadway; pass the Rhode Island Ice House on your right and turn left onto Martin Street. Follow Martin to Maxfield Avenue; turn right onto Maxfield. The Gordon campus is two blocks down on your right.

From Providence: Take 195E to exit 4 (Taunton Ave./Riverside). Bear right toward Riverside onto Veterans Memorial Parkway. Pass the golf course and take a sharp left onto Broadway; take your first right onto Martin Street; your next right onto Maxfield Avenue, and the campus is two blocks down on your right.

Lincoln School

To Faxon Fields: Take either 138N or 114N to Rte. 24N to 195W (toward Providence).Take exit 3 in Mass. (Rehoboth, Swansea Mall) to Rtes. 6 and 118. Turn left at the end of the exit onto Rte. 6. Go to first traffic light and turn left onto Rte. 118N (it will wind around for about 15 min.). Take a left onto Rte. 44W, follow it for 1 or 2 miles into the town of Rehoboth. Turn right onto Danforth Street; Faxon Fields will be on your left.

To the Lincoln School campus in Providence: Take either 138N or 114N to Rte. 24N to 195W (toward Providence). Take exit 3 in Rhode Island (Gano Street), turn right at the end of the ramp (through a flashing light), go to the first set of traffic lights and take a right onto Pittman. Follow Pittman for two blocks and turn left onto Butler Avenue. Go to East Orchard Street, and take a right. Lincoln School is on the corner of Butler and East Orchard; look for the circular drive and big red double doors.

Little Compton Commons Fields

Take 138N to 24N to the Sakonnet River Bridge. Take the first (and only) exit on the bridge to your right. Stay on that road and it will turn into Rte. 77. Go approximately 12 miles (passing through Tiverton Four Corners at about the halfway point) and look for a green sign on the left that says "Commons." Take a left ; the fields are about 500 yards up on your left.

Moses Brown School

To the Moses Brown (Milot) Fields: Take either 138N or 114N to Rte. 24N to 195W (toward Providence). Take exit 3 in Mass. (Rehoboth, Swansea Mall) to Rtes. 6 and 118. Turn left at the exit on Rte. 6. Go to the first signal light and turn left onto 118N (it will wind around for about 15 min.). Take a left onto Rte. 44W; follow it for 1 or 2 miles into the town of Rehoboth. Take a right onto River Road (a 150-degree turn). After the Stop sign, the playing fields will be on your left.

To the Moses Brown campus in Providence: Take either 138N or 114N to Rte. 24N to 195W (toward Providence). After crossing the Washington Bridge coming into Providence, get into the right-hand lane and take exit 3 in Rhode Island (Gano Street). At the end of the ramp turn right onto Gano Street and go to the third light, which is Angell Street. Turn left onto Angell and follow it to the top of the hill; take a right onto Hope Street. Follow Hope for two blocks and turn right onto Lloyd Avenue. The entrance to Moses Brown will be on the left.

The Pennfield School

The Pennfield School campus is on Rte.138N (aka East
Main Road), across from the grounds of St. Mary's Church. The playing fields are approximately one mile further north. Go past the school, through the light at Sandy Point Avenue, and take your first right. The sign says Glen Farm Gardener Seveney Sports Complex. Go all the way down to park.

Pine Point School

Driving time is about an hour.

After crossing the Jamestown Bridge, follow Rte. 138 to the end (New York and Westerly exit), which will put
you on Rte.1. Follow that until you come to the junction of 1 and 138 at Tower Hill. Turn right at the light onto Rte. 138 and follow it for appx. 25 minutes, past the URI campus, until you come to Rte. 95S. Take 95S to exit 91 (Stonington exit, North Main Street, Stonington Borough). Take a left at the end of the ramp; go straight and take your third left, onto North Main Street. Watch for a sign for the school; go approximately .5 miles and turn left onto Barns Road. Pine Point is another .5 miles down on the right.

The Prout School

The Prout playing fields are appx. two miles south of the Prout campus. After crossing the Jamestown Bridge, follow Rte. 138S to the end (New York and Westerly exit), which will put you on Rte.1S. Follow Rte. 1; you will pass the school buildings; start looking for a brown sign that says Tuckertown Park. Take a right at the sign; go another 500 yards, and take a left onto Tuckertown Road. The fields are two miles down on your left.

Providence Country Day School

Take either 138N or 114N to Rte. 24N to 195W (toward Providence). Follow 195W to exit 1in Mass. (Rte. 114A, Seekonk, Barrington). Turn right onto 114A North and follow it for .5 miles to the first light. Turn left onto County Street. Go approximately 200 yards and bear right onto Waterman Avenue, just before the next light. Follow Waterman for 1.25 miles. The school will be on your right.

Rocky Hill School

From Newport: After crossing the Newport and Jamestown bridges, follow 138W until you come to the exit for Providence (Rte.1, PostRoad). At the traffic light, Rte. 1 cuts off, going through the outskirts of Wickford. Follow signs for Goddard State Park on your right. Pass under the railroad bridge; the campus will be approximately 2 miles down on the right. The school has requested that visiting sports teams not drive through the center of the campus. Take the first right to the gymnasium parking lot, and walk to the field.

From Providence: Take 95s to exit 9 (Rte. 4). Take the first exit on the right onto Division Street (Rte. 401) to the intersection of Rte. 1 (Post Road-Main Street). Turn right onto Rte. 1S and follow it approximately .75 miles to the traffic light; bear left through the lights onto Forge Road. Follow it .25 mile to another fork; turn left onto Ives Road (2 miles past Goddard Park, and look for signs for the school on the right. Go .25 miles further and turn right for fields and gym. Again, the school has requested that visiting sports teams not drive through the center of the campus. Take the first
right to the gymnasium parking lot, and walk to the
field.

St. Philomena's School

From Rte. 114 (West Main Road), travel north past Melville School on your left to the third traffic light (after King's Grant and Hedley Street) and turn left onto Cory's Lane. Follow Cory's Lane to the end and turn down the last street on the left. The school will appear immediately.

From Rte. 138 (East Main Road), travel north through the light at Sandy Point Avenue and just after the State
Police barracks on your left, turn left onto Union Street at the traffic light. Follow Union all the way until it ends at the traffic light on Rte 114 (West Main Road); turn right onto 114 and follow directions described above.

The Wheeler School

To the Wheeler School Farm from Fall River: Take either 138N or 114N to Rte. 24N to 195W (toward Providence). Take 195W to exit 1 in Massachusetts (Seekonk/Barrington/114A North). Turn right and go past the movie complex. Go through the traffic lights and bear right at the fork in the road, bearing right ontoArcade Avenue (the Grist Mill restaurant is there). Look for the golf course on the left, go straight through the next light, crossing Rte. 44. At the end of Arcade Avenue, turn right onto Rte. 152N and go 1 mile, bearing right onto Walker Street. Go approximately .5 miles to the Athletic Facility sign on the left.

To the Wheeler School Farm from Providence: Take 195E to exit 1 in Massachusetts (114A North). Turn right off the exit, and go past the movie complex. Follow the directions from above.

To the Wheeler School campus in Providence: From Newport, take either 138N or 114N to Rte. 24N to 195W (toward Providence).Take exit 3 in Rhode Island (Gano Street); turn right at the end of the ramp. Go through three traffic lights and turn left onto Angell Street. Turn right onto Hope Street; the school is on your left.
