How We Support our School
The Development program at St. Michael’s raises money through gifts that support the people and programs that make our school special. Small classes, dynamic curriculum, and competitive athletics, are a few examples of why gifts from alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends are essential. Throughout the school year, members of the Development Committee, along with the Director of Development and Head of School, solicit donations in support of the School’s Annual Fund and other funding priorities, including facility, financial aid, and endowment.
100% Annual Fund Support
The Annual Fund is the School’s most important fundraising program. Each year (July 1-June 30) members of the St. Michael’s community are given the opportunity to support the Annual Fund either through mail and/or phone “appeals.” We ask donors to give what they can, based on their particular financial capability. Gifts range from $10 to $20,000, and we strive for 100% parent, grandparent, and faculty participation. This year’s Annual Fund goal is $160,,000 – and 100% participation from all members of the School community.
Recent Campaign Goals
On June 30, 2005, St. Michael’s successfully met the $2.5-million donor challenge by raising an equal amount in support of the School’s current facility improvement plan. Likewise, the campaign met its participation objective as all constituencies contributed – more than seventy-five percent of current parents made gifts to the campaign and the Annual Fund. While the campaign donor challenge was met, donors continue to make capital contributions to the school.
"Your name here"
Gifts continue to be solicited and donors continue to support capital projects. In fact, a number of naming opportunities still exist, and there exists limited space available for additional etched tiles. Please call the Development Office (849-5970 ext. 365) for a complete list of naming opportunities, or to order an etched tile.
More Ways to Join the Development Team
