Our Admission Philosophy

Most independent schools have similar goals of academic excellence. At St. Michael's, we offer the same rigorous curriculum, but within a community characterized by small class size and individual attention. We welcome students who are motivated, focused, supported by their families, and capable of responding to the challenges of a rigorous and demanding curriculum. We admit students of any race, color, creed, gender, or national origin, and do not discriminate on any basis in the administration of our educational policies, athletic, or other school-administered programs.

Schools, like individuals, possess different personalities and emphasize different values. It is important that the family and the school understand each other's values and priorities in order to create what is referred to as a "good fit." We hope to provide you, and ourselves, with every opportunity to ensure that your child will be a happy, supported, and active member of the St. Michael's community.
