Nurturing and stimulating, the Cottage is where our youngest students begin to learn about the world around them. From our Preschool to our Kindergarteners, the goal is to prepare our young learners to enter the first grade aware and eager to learn.
The Lower School curriculum then follows a highly effective, four-year-plan that takes eager first-graders in need of teacher support, and transforms them into budding scholars, impatient for the academic demands of Middle School. Though Middle School students experience a departmentalized curriculum, with different teachers for each subject, every effort is made to create inter-disciplinary projects and themes.
Homework
Homework is assigned to all students in grades one through eight. Typically, assignments range from fiftenn minutes for first-graders to two and a half hours for the eighth-graders. The amount of time spent will vary from student to student
