St. Michael's Country Day School

At St. Michael's, we see technology as an integral part of our students' learning process. We accomplish this through a combination of easy access to computers, projectors, SMARTBoards, and printers, as well as formal instruction for both the students and faculty.

All classrooms have at least one computer, and there two computer labs on campus. The main computer lab in the Van Beuren Building allows students to access 20 new iMacs, a SMARTBoard, and a variety of other resources. Next door, the lower school lab contains 12 eMacs that are all on the network and allow teachers to bring their students in to work on various projects.

Technology is an integral and necessary component to all students’ learning, and should not be limited or restricted to a detriment. However, certain responsibilities are assumed. Students and faculty understand that they are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible manner when using any of the school’s Lab, classroom, and laptop computers, as well as the networks and accessories.
