What we teach
The Middle School curriculum responds to the individual learning needs of students during their development from late childhood to early adolescence, and requires students to become active participants in their own learning process.
Though students now have different teachers for each subject, every effort is made to create inter-disciplinary projects and themes that stretch across the curriculum. For example, when fifth grade students study Egypt and the Nile River in Social Studies, they also explore river systems in Science, read the Egypt Game by Snyder in Language Arts, and create Mummy Masks in Art.
