Mission Statement

OUR MISSION

The St. Michael’s Country Day School community respects that every student has unique talents, abilities, learning styles, and goals. The school embraces the dual purpose of providing a dynamic
curriculum and addressing the needs of the individual within that curriculum and within the community at large.

The program encourages high academic, artistic, athletic, and ethical standards essential for success in a complex and changing world. St. Michael’s seeks to instill in its students the ability to succeed, the resiliency to face challenge, and the eagerness to
pursue continued learning.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

St. Michael's Country Day School:

• Educates the whole child by focusing on cognitive, affective, and physical development

• Fosters creative talent by exposing students to a variety of individual and collaborative experiences in the visual and performing arts
• Offers interscholastic team sports which blend individual skills with the concepts of team
  play, team goals, and sportsmanship
• Cultivates relevant experiences in technology and information literacy that will enable students to respond productively to the 21st century
• Endorses global awareness through good citizenship, social responsibility, and community service

This mission is overseen by the Board of Trustees working cooperatively with the school community.
