Mrs. Edwards has posted all of the summer reading lists and requirements to the Rose Canepari Library website. She will also be continuing her optional summer reading program for students in kindergarten through second grade.

Standing tall and green--Our energetic and very focused first graders brought their year to a satisfying close this morning with the harvesting of their sugar snap peas for the food bank at the Martin Luther King Center in Newport.

The beginning and end that is Commencement--Twenty other magnificent efforts were honored this morning at the eighth-grade brunch, another year-end, pre-graduation tradition in which the members of the outgoing class are feted, toasted, and occasionally roasted by schoolmates and teachers.

Congratulations to our Kindergarteners-- Yesterday morning (June 9) marked the first of the end-of-year milestones for our students, in which Head of School Whitney Slade and Lower School Head Lauren Abraham recognized forty-three of our Early Childhood students for a job well done.

. . . the roar of the crowd--The final week of the year is full of class presentations and special efforts, designed to allow students to show the world what they have learned in the past nine months.

The beach ball goes back in for another year-- Nothing says St. Michael's field day more than this iconic item, which takes a few hours to inflate and which is one of the favorite competitions of the day. Members from each of the two intramural teams (Blue and White) are pitched against each other one on one, as they attempt (with knees, arms, legs, shoulders, and backs) to push, roll and otherwise get the ball to go in the direction of the designated "finish" line of their team.
